ERS Elite in Pittsburgh is seeking a Diesel Technician to apply military-honed diesel engine and heavy‑duty vehicle skills to diagnose, repair, and maintain critical equipment for our fleet.

This opportunity is open to U.S. Military Veterans with an Honorable Discharge. You will perform routine maintenance, diagnose issues with manuals and schematics, and document work while upholding safety standards and teamwork. Strong problem solving, physical readiness, and a CDL are preferred.

Qualifications

Must be a U.S. Military Veteran with an Honorable Discharge.
Experience working on diesel engines during military service.
Ability to read and interpret service manuals, schematics, and technical bulletins.
Valid driver's license; CDL is a plus.

Responsibilities

Perform routine maintenance and inspections on diesel engines and heavy-duty vehicles
Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues using diagnostic tools and technical manuals
Conduct engine rebuilds, component overhauls, and part replacements with precision
Interpret work orders and technical documentation to determine repair procedures
Maintain accurate service records and ensure documentation complies with company and regulatory standards
Utilize military-level discipline and attention to detail in every repair or service task
Adhere to all OSHA and company safety procedures
Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and maintain high operational readiness
Communicate effectively with supervisors and team leaders regarding job status and repair needs

Physical ability to lift heavy objects, stand for extended periods, and work in various environments
Valid driver's license (CDL is a plus)
