Job summary

ERS Elite is seeking a Diesel Technician with a Veteran background to diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel engines and heavy-duty vehicles. This role leverages military training and emphasizes adherence to safety and documentation standards.

The position requires proven diesel experience from military service, ability to read manuals, and proficiency with diagnostic tools. CDL is a plus, with ongoing training and career development opportunities offered.

Qualifications

• Must be a U.S. Military Veteran with an Honorable Discharge (documentation required)
• Proven experience working on diesel engines during military service (e.g., tanks, tactical vehicles, generators, transport trucks)
• Ability to read and interpret service manuals, schematics, and technical bulletins
• Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
• Strong problem-solving and mechanical aptitude
• Physical ability to lift heavy objects, stand for extended periods, and work in various environments
• Valid driver's license (CDL is a plus)
• MOS/Rating background in mechanical fields such as (but NOT limited to): 91B, 3521, CM, 2T3X1
• Diesel or automotive technician certifications (ASE, OEM-specific, etc.)
• Experience with military or civilian fleet maintenance operations
• Completion of a military technical school or SkillBridge program

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and inspections on diesel engines and heavy-duty vehicles
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues using diagnostic tools and technical manuals
• Conduct engine rebuilds, component overhauls, and part replacements with precision
• Interpret work orders and technical documentation to determine repair procedures
• Maintain accurate service records and ensure documentation complies with company and regulatory standards
• Utilize military-level discipline and attention to detail in every repair or service task
• Adhere to all OSHA and company safety procedures
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and maintain high operational readiness
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and team leaders regarding job status and repair needs

• Diesel or automotive technician certifications (ASE, OEM-specific, etc.)
• Experience with military or civilian fleet maintenance operations
• Completion of a military technical school or SkillBridge program
