Job summary

Amerit Fleet Solutions in Chicago, IL is seeking a Diesel Technician/Mechanic to perform preventive maintenance and repairs on medium to heavy-duty fleet vehicles. You will diagnose mechanical and electrical issues, conduct safety inspections, and document all work orders to ensure fleet reliability.

The role requires 5+ years of diesel experience, a valid driver's license, and the ability to own your tools.

Qualifications

5+ years of hands-on diesel vehicle maintenance and repairs.
Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
Valid driver’s license.
Ability to own and maintain personal tools and toolbox for the role.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Willingness to meet physical demands of the job.
Must be eligible to pass pre-employment screenings (drug screen; DOT if required).

Responsibilities

Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on medium to heavy-duty fleet vehicles.
