You will perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs on the newest and best maintained fleet of vehicles in the industry, ensuring our customers keep their vehicles in shape and on the road. Main Responsibilities
- Ensure all vehicles are maintained and safe for our customers.
- Use Penske’s tools and technologies to log, research, and complete repairs, including basic diagnostics.
- Perform preventative maintenance such as tire rotating, component lubrication, electrical repairs, and cooling system maintenance on gas and diesel vehicles.
- Partner with your manager to acquire new skills through Penske’s technician training and coaching.
- Work on other projects and tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and 1–2 years of automotive or diesel repair experience preferred.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Problem‑solving ability and comfort with tools.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Team player who works well independently and as part of a team.
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to understand and comply with Penske management instructions, guidelines, rules, regulations, or other established policies.
- Adherence to DOT, OSHA, and Penske safety and maintenance policies.
- Regular, predictable full attendance required.
- Compliance with DOT regulations: maintenance of a current driver qualification file, DOT Physical, and safety performance history.
- Willingness to work required schedule and location, complete application, background screening, drug screen, physical, and potential travel within near geography for training.
Physical Requirements
- Move frequently, stand, walk, climb, bend, and sit for extended periods.
- Use hands to grasp, reach, touch, and operate required tools or controls on a daily basis.
- Work safely at heights using ladders and elevated platforms.
- Work safely in all weather conditions.
- Be able to see and hear to navigate the work environment safely.
- Regularly lift or move up to 50 lbs (23 kg) and occasionally up to 100 lbs (45 kg), and push/pull truck tires that exceed 100 lbs.
