Penske Truck Leasing is seeking a Technician to perform preventive maintenance and minor repairs across a diverse fleet. You will receive industry-certified training and hands-on coaching from experienced technicians to grow your career.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; trade school preferred.
• 1–2 years automotive or diesel repair experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Ability to follow safety policies and use hand tools.
• Good customer service and communication skills.
• Able to understand Penske management instructions and DOT/OSHA policies.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all vehicles are maintained and safe for our customers.
• Use Penske’s tools to log, research, and complete repairs, including basic diagnostics.
• Perform preventative maintenance such as tire rotation, lubrication, electrical repairs, and cooling system maintenance on gas and diesel vehicles.
• Partner with your manager to acquire new skills through Penske’s technician training and coaching.
• Work on other projects and tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and 1–2 years of automotive or diesel repair experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Problem‑solving ability and comfort with tools.

• Ability to understand and comply with Penske management instructions, guidelines, rules, regulations, or other established policies.

• Compliance with DOT regulations: maintenance of a current driver qualification file, DOT Physical, and safety performance history.
• Willingness to work required schedule and location, complete application, background screening, drug screen, physical, and potential travel within near geography for training.

Physical Requirements

• Move frequently, stand, walk, climb, bend, and sit for extended periods.
• Use hands to grasp, reach, touch, and operate required tools or controls on a daily basis.
• Work safely at heights using ladders and elevated platforms.
• Work safely in all weather conditions.
• Be able to see and hear to navigate the work environment safely.
• Regularly lift or move up to 50 lbs (23 kg) and occasionally up to 100 lbs (45 kg), and push/pull truck tires that exceed 100 lbs.
