Diesel Technician/Mechanic III - Entry Level

About the Role

Are you mechanically inclined or have completed vehicle repair training? Whether you're starting out or looking to switch gears, becoming a Penske Technician could be a great fit. You will perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs on our fleet, helping customers keep their vehicles in top shape.

What You’ll Do
  • Maintain and ensure the safety of vehicles for customers
  • Use Penske’s tools to diagnose and repair vehicles, including basic diagnostics
  • Perform preventative maintenance like tire rotations, lubrication, electrical, and cooling system repairs on gas and diesel engines
  • Partner with your manager to learn new skills through training and coaching
  • Support other projects and tasks as assigned

Qualifications

  • Basic mechanical aptitude; 1-2 years automotive or diesel repair experience preferred
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to work the required schedule
  • Ability to solve problems, work in a team, and understand safety regulations
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and 100 lbs occasionally
Physical Requirements

Must be able to move frequently, stand, walk, climb, and work in all weather conditions. Ability to safely work at heights and operate required tools is essential.

Additional Details

Shift: Monday-Friday, 2:30 pm - 11:00 pm

This position is regulated by the Department of Transportation, requiring compliance with safety and driving regulations.
