Ready to accelerate your career while helping our customers move forward? As a Technician at Penske, you'll perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs on a fleet of well-maintained vehicles. You will help keep vehicles in shape and on the road.

Main Responsibilities
  • Ensure vehicles are maintained and safe for customers
  • Use Penske’s tools and technologies to log, research, and complete repairs, including diagnostics
  • Perform preventative maintenance, such as tire rotation, lubrication, electrical repairs, and cooling system maintenance on gas and diesel engines
  • Partner with your manager to learn new skills through training and coaching
  • Assist with other projects and tasks as assigned

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair is a plus
  • Basic mechanical aptitude; 1-2 years automotive or diesel repair experience preferred
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Problem-solving skills and comfort with tools
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Teamwork and outdoor work capability
  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to adhere to safety regulations and policies, including DOT, OSHA, and Penske standards
  • Regular, predictable attendance is essential
  • Compliance with DOT regulations, including driver qualification files, physical exams, and drug screening, is required
Physical Requirements
  • Frequent movement, standing, walking, climbing, bending, and sitting
  • Manual dexterity with tools and controls
  • Ability to work safely at heights and in all weather conditions
  • Good vision and hearing for navigating the work environment
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and up to 100 lbs occasionally
