Ready to accelerate your career while helping our customers move forward? As a Technician at Penske, you'll perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs on our fleet of vehicles. You will help keep vehicles in shape and on the road, whether you're just out of school or have some repair experience.

This role offers variety, working on different equipment types, with a focus on safety and reliability. You'll learn from experienced supervisors and master technicians, with industry-certified training to support your growth. We provide all necessary tools and maintain a clean work environment.

Main Responsibilities

• Ensure vehicles are maintained and safe for customers
• Use Penske’s tools to log, research, and complete repairs, including diagnostics
• Perform preventative maintenance such as tire rotation, lubrication, electrical repairs, and cooling system maintenance on gas and diesel engines
• Partner with your manager to learn new skills through training and coaching
• Assist with other projects as assigned

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational or technical certification preferred
• Basic mechanical aptitude; 1-2 years automotive or diesel repair experience preferred
• Valid driver’s license
• Problem-solving skills and comfort with tools
• Customer service and communication skills
• Ability to work in a team and outdoors
• Basic computer skills
• Compliance with safety and DOT regulations, including drug testing and background checks

Physical Requirements

• Frequent movement, standing, walking, climbing, bending, and sitting
• Use of hands for operating tools
• Work safely at heights and in all weather conditions
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and 100 lbs occasionally
