Penske in Daytona Beach, FL is seeking an experienced Technician II to perform preventive maintenance, diagnose and repair on a variety of OEM equipment. You will work independently, mentor newer techs, and leverage Penske’s training to grow your skills.

Qualifications

• Experience as a vehicle technician with a focus on preventive maintenance and diagnostics.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on trucks and trailers to ensure safety and reliability.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical issues with minimal supervision.
• Repair and troubleshoot engines, transmissions, differentials, turbochargers and fuel systems.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area and document repairs using Penske tools.

Work Location: 230 Fentress Blvd, Daytona Beach, FL 32114

Work Schedule: Candidate must be able to work first shift Monday to Friday. Schedule may include holidays based on business needs.

This position, at this location, offers shift differentials that will vary based on schedule:

• Second shift ($2.00 starting after 11am)
• Third shift ($3.00 starting after 9pm)
• Weekend shift ($2.00 Saturdays and Sundays regardless of start time)

Main Responsibilities:

• Making sure vehicles are maintained and safe for our customers
• Doing preventive maintenance services on truck and trailer equipment with little or no supervision and in a timely manner
• Repairing and troubleshooting components such as, engines, transmissions and differentials, turbochargers, fuel system components, etc.
• Keeping your work area clean and safe
• Using Penske's tools and technologies to log, research and complete repairs, including basic vehicle diagnostics
• Learning new skills through Penske's technician training
• Working on other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor
