Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines.
• Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class A preferred.
• Ability to pass drug test, DOT physical, road test, and background checks.

Immediately hiring a Permanent Full Time Experienced Mid-Level Diesel Technician to support our Truck Fleet at Ryder in Morrow, Georgia.

Benefits

• Hourly Pay: $27.25 per hour
• Certification Bonus of $100 for each new ASE Certification obtained, up to $700
• Quarterly Bonus: Up to $500 every quarter
• Sign-On Bonus: $1250 at 30 days and $1250 at 90 days
• Schedule: Tuesday - Saturday, First shift 7:00 am – 3:30 pm

Job Responsibilities

• Perform vehicle maintenance and repairs on heavy-duty vehicles
• Conduct routine preventative maintenance including oil changes, brake, and tire work
• Diagnose mechanical and electronic issues using diagnostic tools
• Identify root causes and perform necessary repairs
• Interact with customers/drivers to understand their concerns
• Utilize shop management systems and electronic documentation
• Adhere to safety and compliance guidelines

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Vocational or technical certifications preferred
• Basic tools required
• Experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines (minimum 2 years preferred)
• Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class A preferred
• Must be able to obtain CDL within 6 months, pass drug test, DOT physical, road test, and background checks
