Amerit Fleet Solutions is seeking a skilled Diesel Technician/Mechanic in Joliet, IL to perform preventive maintenance and repairs on medium to heavy duty fleet vehicles. You will diagnose mechanical and electrical issues and document repairs to ensure safe, compliant operation.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ hands-on experience performing diesel vehicle maintenance and repairs.
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to own and maintain the personal tools and toolbox required for the role.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to meet the physical demands and pass pre-employment screenings (drug/DOT if required).

Pay: $35.00 – $40.00/hour (based on experience) Pay Frequency: Weekly pay – every Friday Schedule: Monday - Friday: 7am-3:30pm

What You’ll Do

What We’re Looking For

• Must be eligible to pass standard pre-employment screenings, including drug screen and DOT physical (if required)

Working Conditions

This role involves working in a mobile and or shop environment that may include exposure to dust, diesel fumes, noise, and mechanical irritants such as oils and greases. Technicians must be able to perform essential functions that include lifting heavy objects, accessing tight spaces, and bending, stooping, crouching, or crawling as needed to complete repairs.
