Position Description
Immediately hiring a Permanent Full Time Master Level Rebuild Diesel Technician to support our Truck Fleet at Ryder in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Compensation and Benefits
- Hourly Pay: $33.00 per hour
- Certification Bonus of $100 for each New ASE Certification Obtained up to $700
- Quarterly Bonus: Ryder Pays you up to $500 Every Quarter - Four Times Per Year
- Sign On Bonus: Ryder Pays You $2000 at 30 days and $2000 at 90 days
- Schedule: Tuesday–Friday, Weekends OFF
- Hours: First Shift 6:00 am – 4:30 pm

Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Vocational or Technical Certification, Post Secondary degree or Technical Certifications, preferred
- Basic tools, required
- Experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines including:
- Routine preventative maintenance, oil changes, brake and tire work
- Diagnostics and repairs, including AC, electrical systems
- Major engine repairs, diesel after treatment or automotive fuel injection repairs, required
- Four (4) years or more relevant work experience, preferred
- Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) CLASS A, preferred
- Other certifications as required by location, required
Additional Requirements
- Ability to perform all T3 tasks
- Advanced analytical and repair skills in vehicle maintenance
- Effective interpersonal communication skills
- Basic computer skills: PC, Windows, mouse, etc.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Availability for shift work/weekends and on call duty as required
- Prefer ASE Certification in PM, Brakes, A/C, electrical, Electronics or ASE Master Mechanic
- Proficiency in operating shop computers and diagnostic test equipment
- Minimum tool requirement
- Road testing vehicles as necessary
- Ability to coach/mentor/influence others
Driving Requirements
- Must be able to obtain CDL within 6 months after hire
- Pass Ryder Drug Test, DOT physical, road test, background and motor vehicle check
Responsibilities
- Complete OEM online diagnostic courses within 365 days
- Perform vehicle maintenance, preventive and complex repairs
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electronic problems
- Assist roadside breakdowns via remote triage
- Interact with customers/drivers to determine issues
- Mentor other technicians and advise shop management
- Utilize shop management systems and documentation
- Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory guidelines
