Job summary

Dolese is seeking a skilled mechanic to ensure quality vehicle maintenance across our equipment and fleet, performing general and advanced repairs in a safe, efficient, and productive manner.

You will handle electrical, hydraulic, brake work, and component rebuilding, assist with engines and differentials, and comply with PPE and safety standards while maintaining a neat shop and reliable attendance.

Qualifications

  • Ability to perform all A, B, C and D mechanic services.
  • Ability to perform all outside service interval items.
  • Ability to perform minor repairs and complete a brake job.
  • Ability to do minor electrical and mechanical troubleshooting.
  • Ability to perform services and repairs with quality and in a timely manner.
  • Ability to perform PM services.
  • Good safety and driving record
  • Willingness to work nights, overtime and weekends as required.
  • Excellent verbal, written and comprehension communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a positive attitude that fosters effective relationships
  • Ability to wear a respirator and perform work.
  • Self-motivated, organized and can work without direct supervision.
  • Ability to work near, around or on light or heavy equipment

Responsibilities

  • Ability and skills for general and advanced repairs of all vehicles and completing all paperwork related to repair orders.
  • Ability to repair electrical systems, hydraulic systems, brake repair and replacement as directed.
  • Assisting with component rebuilding such as engines, transmissions, and differentials.
  • May be responsible for welding associated with the above duties.
  • Assisting other mechanics as needed and completing special projects for the shop supervisor .
  • Wearing all required personal protective equipment (PPE) related to task being performed as well as using all required safety equipment and procedures.
  • Maintaining a neat and professional appearance of self and shop areas.
  • Regular, reliable attendance at the worksite or assigned work location
  • Other duties and responsibilities related to the nature of the job may be assigned on a temporary or permanent basis as needed

JOB SUMMARY:

  • Class B CDL with air brakes (Preferred)
  • Able to perform all tasks in a safe and timely manner.
  • Complete understanding and operation of mixer controls.
  • Good safety and driving record
  • Willingness to work nights, overtime and weekends as required.
  • Excellent verbal, written and comprehension communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a positive attitude that fosters effective relationships
  • Ability to wear a respirator and perform work.
  • Self-motivated, organized and can work without direct supervision.
  • Ability to work near, around or on light or heavy equipment
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Lift objects of various dimensions and up to 100lbs. of weight frequently
  • Ability to repeatedly climb stairs and climb ladders
  • Ability to repeatedly balance, bend from the trunk, crawl, kneel, push and pull objects
  • Ability to use vibration tools repeatedly
  • Ability to tolerate working outdoors in all environmental temperatures and weather conditions.
  • Ability to repeatedly reach, squat and tolerate prolonged standing / walking / sitting
  • Ability to repeatedly walk on uneven surfaces
