Diesel Technician / Mechanic Job Responsibilities:

• Diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing vehicle automotive systems, including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
• Perform maintenance services thoroughly and safely.
• Recommend additional repairs and services as needed
• Perform work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy
• Communicate directly with the service consultants on vehicle’s needed repairs and maintenance
• Properly diagnose and repair vehicles to manufacturers' and dealers' specifications
• Properly follow manufacturer’s repair procedures
• Conduct a wide variety of diagnosis and repairs on all vehicle systems
• Provide accurate and complete repair estimates to the service consultants
• Working knowledge of shop equipment and tools

Diesel Technician / Mechanic Job Requirements:

• 2+ years of experience as an Automotive Technician/Mechanic
• Heavy / Medium-duty vehicle repair strongly preferred
• GM and/or ASE certifications a plus
• Maintain technical capabilities to ensure proficient and safe use of tools and equipment.
• Maintain factory and ASE training as pertinent to your position
• Desire to learn and progress
• Must have a valid drivers license and meet company motor vehicle report standards
