Job summary

Rush Truck Centers is seeking skilled diesel technicians in Utah to service, repair, and overhaul heavy trucks and engines. You will read job orders, diagnose issues, and implement thorough repairs to meet OEM specifications.

Qualifications

• 5 years' experience as a Class 7 & 8 technician in a dealership or related truck service facility.
• Valid driver's license with a driving record that meets insurability guidelines.
• CDL and Medical card as required by FMVSS preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical service to vehicles and equipment.
• Perform general and detailed repair of all trucks, engines and components.
• Overhaul gas or diesel engines.
• Install injectors, pistons, liners, cam shafts, cylinder heads, rod and main bearings, oil pans, clutches, and other parts.
• Read job orders and plan work procedures.
• Examine safety devices and adjust as needed.
• Lubricate moving parts and road-test repaired vehicles.
• Attend training and keep abreast of factory bulletins.
• Develop positive relationships with customers to increase satisfaction.
