Job summary

Clarke Power Services, Inc. is seeking an Experienced Light/Medium Duty Diesel Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain light/medium duty trucks. The role emphasizes diagnostic accuracy, wiring repair, and independent work in a growing company with training and benefits.

The candidate should have 3+ years of experience, a diesel/automotive certificate or degree if possible, and ASE certifications or a State Inspector license are advantageous. CDL is a plus.

Qualifications

• 3+ years' experience in diesel or light/medium duty truck maintenance.
• Preferred Diesel or Automotive Program Certificate or degree.
• ASE certifications a big plus; State Inspector License a plus.

Responsibilities

• Familiar with light/medium duty chassis, suspension, HVAC, engine, transmission, and electrical systems.
• Excellent diagnostic skills and ability to diagnose root causes of non-conformance.
• Repair basic equipment wiring and use computer diagnostics.
• Communicate effectively, work independently.

Diesel Technician - Light/Medium Duty

Clarke Power, an industry leader, is currently looking for a Light/Medium Duty Truck Mechanic / Diesel Technician. What are the duties?

• Familiar with all aspects of light and medium duty chassis, suspension, HVAC, engine, transmission, and electrical systems.
• Excellent diagnostic skills
• Diagnose cause of non-conformance, identify corrective action necessary to correct non-conformance.
• Diagnose and repair basic equipment wiring.
• Must be able to use computer diagnostics
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Must be able to work independently

EDUCATION And/or EXPERIENCE

• 3+ years' experience
• Preferred - Diesel or Automotive Program Certificate or degree
• Experience with some or all of the following engine platforms. Cummins, Power Stroke, Duramax, LS, Triton, and Godzilla
• ASE Certifications a big plus.
• State Inspector License also a big plus

PHYSICAL And SAFETY REQUIREMENTS

• While performing the duties of this job, the associate will be required to move frequently, stand, walk, and sit.
• The associate is frequently required to use hands to touch, handle, and feel, and reach with hands and arms.
• The associate must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50lbs and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100lbs with assistance.
• The associate must be able to read and write reports.
• Implement and enforce Health and Safety legislations, regulations, policies, procedures, and prescribed instructions.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

• Must have a valid driver's license with no more than 2 moving violations and/or at-fault accidents on driving record within the last 3 years.
• No drug or alcohol-related conviction on driving record in the past 5 years (ie., DUI/DWI).
• Must be authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future.
• CDL a plus
• Must be able to obtain DOT Med Card
• Company may assist with obtaining additional certificates / licenses
