Clarke Power Services, Inc. in Kentucky is seeking an experienced Light/Medium Duty Diesel Technician for first shift 9:00am-5:30pm.

You will diagnose and repair diesel engines, chassis, suspension, HVAC, and electrical systems, with opportunities for training and career growth. The ideal candidate has 3+ years of hands-on experience, ASE certifications, and a valid CDL; ability to use computer diagnostics and work independently is essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years' experience in light/medium duty diesel or automotive repair.
• Experience with Cummins, Power Stroke, Duramax, LS, Triton, and Godzilla engines.
• ASE Certifications and State Inspector License are a plus.

Responsabilités

• Maintain light/medium duty chassis, suspension, HVAC, engine, transmission, and electrical systems.
• Perform diagnostic work with strong troubleshooting skills.
• Troubleshoot non-conformances and implement corrective actions.
• Diagnose and repair basic equipment wiring.
• Operate computer diagnostic tools and software.
• Communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing.
• Work independently when required.

Diesel Technician - Light/Medium Duty

First shift hours 9:00am-5:30pm

Clarke Power, an industry leader, is currently looking for a Light/Medium Duty Truck Mechanic / Diesel Technician. What are the duties?

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Familiar with all aspects of light and medium duty chassis, suspension, HVAC, engine, transmission, and electrical systems.
• Excellent diagnostic skills
• Diagnose cause of non-conformance, identify corrective action necessary to correct non-conformance.
• Diagnose and repair basic equipment wiring.
• Must be able to use computer diagnostics
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Must be able to work independently

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

• 3+ years' experience
• Preferred– Diesel or Automotive Program Certificate or degree
• Experience with some or all of the following engine platforms. Cummins, Power Stroke, Duramax, LS, Triton, and Godzilla
• ASE Certifications a big plus.
• State Inspector License also a big plus

PHYSICAL and SAFETY REQUIREMENTS

• While performing the duties of this job, the associate will be required to move frequently, stand, walk, and sit.
• The associate is frequently required to use hands to touch, handle, and feel, and reach with hands and arms.
• The associate must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50lbs and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100lbs with assistance.
• The associate must be able to read and write reports.
• Implement and enforce Health and Safety legislations, regulations, policies, procedures, and prescribed instructions.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

• Must have a valid driver's license with no more than 2 moving violations and/or at-fault accidents on driving record within the last 3 years.
• No drug or alcohol-related conviction on driving record in the past 5 years (ie., DUI/DWI).
• Must be authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future.
• CDL a plus
• Must be able to obtain DOT Med Card
• Company may assist with obtaining additional certificates / licenses
