Job Description:

TSTC faculty deliver approved curriculum, content, and assessments in an applied learning environment. Responsibilities include facilitating activities and discussions that engage various learning styles with targeted guidance and mentorship to students. Faculty interpret and administer assessments, offer constructive feedback, and integrate technology effectively to enrich educational experiences. They act as ambassadors for their programs and TSTC, demonstrating core values of Excellence, Accountability, Service, and Integrity.

Hiring Range: $68,523 - $72,992 + up to $6,000 Retention bonus annually + Sign-on bonus. The final salary will depend on qualifications and experience.

Responsibilities include:
  • Instructional Delivery: Prepare and deliver high-quality instruction, develop syllabi, and organize classes using innovative techniques.
  • Instructional Management: Maintain schedules, accurate records, and a safe instructional environment.
  • Student Retention and Placement: Advise students, collaborate with Student Success for support programs.
  • Program Recruitment & Promotion: Participate in tours and recruitment events.
  • Teamwork & Service: Be courteous, flexible, and effective in team settings, aligned with college values.
Core Competencies:
  • Teaching & Learning: Deliver quality instruction tailored to diverse learners.
  • Mentorship & Coaching: Provide personalized support and foster communication.
  • Assessment & Feedback: Use assessments for constructive feedback and strategy improvement.
  • Technology Integration: Use technology to enhance learning.
Minimum Skills and Qualifications:
  • Ability to read wiring diagrams, perform resistance checks, measure voltage drops, and service systems including tires, engines, steering, suspension, brakes, HVAC systems.
  • 5+ years in diesel industry-related experience.
Preferred Skills:
  • Manufacturer's certifications, heavy-duty equipment repair experience, supervisory or teaching experience, 7+ years truck/equipment maintenance.
Education and Experience:
  • Required: Associate degree in a related field or equivalent professional experience.
  • Preferred: Bachelor's degree in a related discipline.
