Job summary

Schneider National, Inc. is seeking a Diesel Technician in Lincoln, AL. This 1st shift role (Mon-Fri, 7:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m.) focuses on PMs, inspections and repairs of tractors and trailers, with express services like tire changes and brake adjustments.

You will communicate progress to internal customers and work with minimal supervision. Qualified candidates have a technical degree in diesel technology or at least one year of diesel tech experience, and must be able to provide their own tools

Qualifications

• Technical degree in diesel technology or related field, or a minimum of one year of diesel technician experience.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Able to provide own tools within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform PMs, annual inspections and repairs on tractors and trailers.
• Complete express services like tire changes, brake adjustments and minor electrical repairs.
• Communicate status updates to internal customers.
