Job summary

Allegiance Trucks is seeking a Diesel Technician to perform vehicle repairs, engine work and electrical diagnostics in a maintenance-focused shop. You will read repair orders and execute thorough inspections, replacing components such as injectors, pistons, bearings and transmissions as needed.

The role requires a 1–2 year track record as a medium/heavy diesel tech, a valid driver’s license, and a full set of personal hand tools.

Qualifications

Minimum of 1–2 years experience as a Medium/Heavy Diesel Technician.
Must possess a full set of personal hand tools.
Must have, or be able to develop through training, knowledge of commercial truck and engine repair.
Must have completed diesel/ automotive certificate programs or equivalent hands-on experience.

Responsibilities

Provide technical service on vehicles and equipment including troubleshooting, electrical and diagnostic services.
Read Repair Orders and perform general and detailed repair of trucks, engines and components.
Install injectors, pistons, liners, cam shafts, cylinder heads, bearings, oil pans, clutches, brakes, transmissions and other parts.
Examine guards, bolts and safety devices and adjust as needed.
Lubricate moving parts and drive repaired vehicle to verify conformance to specifications.
Advise Service staff if additional repair work is necessary.
Tag return warranty parts.
Maintain a neat, safe work environment and handle tools properly.
Follow safe work practices and seek assistance when necessary.
Other projects/initiatives as assigned.
