Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred.
• Basic mechanical aptitude required.
• 1–2 years automotive or diesel repair experience preferred.
• Ability to use tools and solve problems.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Making sure vehicles are maintained and safe for customers.
• Using Penske’s tools and technologies to log, research and complete repairs, including basic vehicle diagnostics.
• Performing preventative maintenance such as tire rotation and lubrication, plus some electrical and cooling system work on gas and diesel engines.
• Learning new skills through Penske’s technician training and hands-on coaching with the manager.
• Handling other projects and tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
