Penske Truck Leasing Co., L.P. in Chester, NY is seeking a Technician to perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs on a diverse fleet. You’ll log repairs, use diagnostic tools, and learn through hands-on coaching with master technicians.

Starting pay is $28.00/hr with a $2.00 CDL differential where applicable. This role offers a path for growth, comprehensive training, and strong safety standards in a dynamic shop environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and 1-2 years of automotive or diesel repair experience (preferred).
• Valid driver’s license and the ability to use common diagnostic tools.

Responsibilities

• Make sure vehicles are maintained and safe for customers.
• Use Penske’s tools and technologies to log, research and complete repairs including basic vehicle diagnostics.
• Perform preventative maintenance such as tire rotation and lubrication on gas and diesel engines.
• Partner with your manager to learn new skills through Penske’s training and coaching.
• Work on additional projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor.
