Responsibilities

  • Perform complex repairs and replacements of engines, transmissions, and differentials.
  • Lead advanced diagnostic efforts utilizing OEM software (e.g., Cummins, Volvo, CAT).
  • Troubleshoot and repair after-treatment systems and electrical control components.
  • Conduct and oversee DOT compliance inspections and certify completed repairs.
  • Perform major repairs on air systems, hydraulic systems, and electronic brake systems.
  • Conduct road tests, system calibrations, and post-repair performance verifications.
  • Maintain organization of tools, parts inventory, and overall shop cleanliness.
  • Train, mentor, and support the development of Technician I and II team members.
  • Provide input on maintenance scheduling, equipment reliability, and cost trends.
  • Support field service operations, including emergency roadside repairs as needed.
  • Ensure accurate and thorough documentation of work performed in MC/E360 systems.
  • Collaborate with the Equipment Services & Fabrication Manager to control repair costs and minimize equipment downtime.
  • Partner cross-functionally with business units across Carver Companies to support operational needs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Summary:

The Diesel Technician III is a senior-level technician responsible for advanced diagnostics, major component repair, and field service support.
