Job summary
Sunstate Equipment Co. is seeking a Technician II - Shop in Garner, NC to maintain and repair diesel-powered equipment, ensuring performance to spec and safety compliance.
The role features a Monday–Friday 7AM–5PM schedule with overtime eligibility and a $28–$34+ hourly pay range, plus a quarterly branch bonus potential. Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a diesel mechanic.
- Experience with troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repairs of electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, diesel, and gas engines.
- Experience with Tier 4 engines and DPF, SCR, and EGR aftertreatment systems is preferred.
- Experience performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, diagnosing, and performing equipment repairs.
- Must have the necessary tools to perform the scope of equipment repairs.
Responsibilities
- Inspect, service, and test equipment, ensuring performance to manufacturer specifications.
- Maintain safety standards while performing equipment repairs.
- Be proficient with schematics and computer diagnostic software; welding is a plus.
- Repair and diagnose heavy construction or rental equipment.
- Document work performed and parts used.
- Collaborate with team to ensure timely completion of repairs.
