Job summary

Black Hills Trucking LLC is seeking a diesel technician for a full-time, on-site position in Williston, North Dakota. You will inspect, repair, and maintain trucks and trailers, collaborate with peers, and help keep equipment in safe, continuous operation.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or equivalent with 0–2 years of mechanical experience and can provide their own tools. A valid driver's license with a clean MVR is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with 0–2 years mechanical experience.
• Ability to provide own tools.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and manuals.
• Possession of a valid driver’s license with a clean MVR.

Responsibilities

• Inspects, repairs, and maintains trucks, trailers, and related equipment.
• Works with other technicians and cross-trains as necessary to keep trucks and trailers in continuous operation.
• Observes defects to determine cause and reports major problems to supervisor.
• Inspect trucks, equipment, and machinery to diagnose defects and verify repairs.
• Handle and dispose of fuels, lubricants, and solvents per MSDS.
• Keeps work area clean by sweeping and storing tools and materials.
• May be required to operate small vehicles on and off company premises.
