Qualifications

• Experience inspecting, maintaining, and repairing diesel-powered vehicles and heavy equipment.
• Ability to troubleshoot diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, brakes, and transmissions.
• Proficient with diagnostic tools to identify mechanical and electrical malfunctions.
• Knowledge of diesel engine operation (fuel, air, exhaust).
• Ability to perform mechanical repairs on engines, brakes, transmissions, and related components.
• Familiarity with preventive maintenance schedules for diesel fleets.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Willingness to stay current with diesel technology.

Responsibilities

• Inspect diesel-powered vehicles and heavy equipment to identify issues.
• Use diagnostic tools to troubleshoot engines, hydraulics, electrical, brakes, transmissions.
• Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, filter replacements, lubrication.
• Repair or replace defective parts as needed.
• Diagnose and repair engine performance issues.
• Inspect, service, and repair brake systems.
• Perform welding and basic fabrication as needed.
• Test repaired vehicles and equipment for proper operation.
• Maintain records of inspections, maintenance, and repairs.
• Follow safety procedures while working with heavy equipment.
