Job summary

Ryder Supply Chain Solutions is seeking a skilled technician to perform maintenance and repairs on heavy- and medium-duty vehicles in a compliant shop environment. You will diagnose mechanical and electronic issues using diagnostic tools and maintain documentation in the Shop Management System.

The role requires strong interpersonal skills to interact with customers and drivers, adherence to safety standards, and the ability to perform entry-level and advanced repairs as needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Vocational or Technical Certification preferred.
• 1+ year of mechanical repairs on heavy/medium duty equipment.
• Ability to perform advanced diagnostics and repairs.

Responsibilities

• Performs vehicle maintenance and repair duties.
• Performs standard vehicle maintenance and component inspections.
• Utilizes diagnostic computer to troubleshoot mechanical and electronic problems.
• Interacts with customers/drivers to determine nature of complaint.
• Performs facility maintenance and follows safety/compliance guidelines.
• Replaces defective components as instructed.
• Supports operations with service island duties as needed.
