Job summary

Rush Truck Centers in Harahan, Louisiana is seeking a skilled Rush Technician. You will perform comprehensive maintenance and repairs on trucks and engines, install major components, and diagnose issues through inspection and testing. The role emphasizes safety, customer service, and continuous training to stay current with OEM updates. A valid driver’s license and 5 years of Class 7/8 experience are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 5 years’ experience as a Class 7 & 8 technician in a dealership or truck service facility.
• Must possess a current and valid driver license with insurability.
• Peterbilt, International, Ford, Hino, Isuzu, Cummins, and ASE certifications are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical service to vehicles and equipment.
• Perform general and detailed repair of all trucks, engines and components.
• Overhaul gas or diesel engines.
• Read job orders and plan work procedures.
• Ensure safety checks on trucks and components.
• Attend trainings and stay updated on technical bulletins.
• Build positive relationships with customers to improve satisfaction.
