Job summary

Kenan Advantage Group, Inc. is seeking a Diesel Mechanic Technician to keep Class 5-8 commercial vehicles and tank trailers on the road in Charlotte, NC.

You'll perform preventive maintenance, diagnose and repair brake, suspension, electrical and air systems, and complete inspections and service orders. Join a team-focused shop with extensive technician training, clear advancement paths, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• 1-5 years of diesel, fleet, truck, trailer, or heavy equipment preventive maintenance and repair of Class 5 - 8 commercial vehicles and tank trailer inspection.
• Ability to frequently lift up to 50 lbs.
• Valid Driver's License
• Must successfully pass a background check, MVR review, drug screen, and physical examination as a condition of employment due to the safety-sensitive nature of the position.
• Ability to obtain required industry certifications
• Commitment to safety and quality workmanship

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on Class 5-8 commercial vehicles and tank trailers
• Diagnose and repair brake, suspension, electrical, and air systems
• Complete truck and trailer inspections
• Perform wheel-end, tire, and preventive maintenance services
• Troubleshoot starting, charging, fuel, and HVAC systems
• Maintain DOT compliance standards and inspection requirements
• Complete repair orders and maintenance documentation accurately
• Work safely in a team-oriented shop environment
