Job summary

Rush Truck Centers is hiring a Rush Technician in Boise, Idaho. You will provide hands-on technical service, repair trucks and engines, and install components while following safety procedures. A valid CDL and prior Class 7–8 experience are valued; ASE certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 1 year of Class 7 & 8 truck technician experience in a dealership or service facility.
• CDL and Medical card are preferred but not required.
• ASE certifications are preferred and rewarded.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical service to vehicles and equipment.
• Perform general and detailed repair of all trucks, engines and components.
• Overhaul gas or diesel engines.
• Install injectors, pistons, liners, cam shafts, cylinder heads, bearings, oil pans, clutches, brakes, and transmissions.
• Read job orders, observe and listen to vehicle operation to determine malfunction and plan work procedures.
• Examine guards, bolts, and safety devices on trucks, making adjustments as needed.
• Lubricate moving parts and test repaired vehicles for conformance to specs.
• Attend training classes and stay updated on factory bulletins.
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with customers to increase satisfaction.
