Job summary

Rush Enterprises Inc. is hiring a Rush Technician for Rush Truck Centers in Boise, ID. You will perform repair work on commercial trucks and engines, following OEM guidelines and safety standards to ensure reliability and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Requires 5 years of Class 7 & 8 technician experience in a dealership or truck service facility.
• CDL and Medical card as required by FMVSS preferred but not required.
• Peterbilt, International, Ford, Hino, Isuzu, Cummins and ASE certifications are preferred and rewarded.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical service to vehicles and equipment.
• Perform general and detailed repair of all trucks, engines and components.
• Overhaul gas or diesel engines.
• Install injectors, pistons, liners, cam shafts, cylinder heads, bearings, oil pans, clutches, brakes, transmissions and other parts.
• Read job orders and inspect vehicles to determine malfunction and plan procedures.
• Examine safety devices and tighten loose parts as needed.
• Lubricate moving parts and drive vehicles to verify conformance to specs.
• Attend training classes and keep abreast of factory bulletins.
• Develop positive relationships with customers to increase satisfaction.
