Qualifications

• Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn diesel systems.
• Online/instructor-led training provided.
• High school diploma or vocational/technical schooling preferred.
• 1–2 years of related experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with ability to obtain CDL.
• Have or obtain basic tools within 30 days; major tooling provided by employer.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair diesel trucks or equipment per repair orders.
• Communicate with parts department to obtain needed parts.
• Road test vehicles when required or as advised by supervisor.
• Supervise apprentices as assigned and participate in training programs.
• Maintain shop safety, cleanliness and proper use of tools and equipment.
• Document all work performed on the repair order.
