Job summary

Sapp Bros. is seeking a Diesel Technician to service heavy-duty trucks, trailers, and equipment.

You’ll diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues, replace tires, complete work orders, and perform emergency roadside service to keep customers on the road. Ideal candidates have 1+ years of diesel repair experience, a valid driver’s license, ASE certification preferred, and a strong focus on safety, quality, and customer service.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or GED (preferred).
• Valid driver’s license with a clean record.
• Medical Examiner’s Certificate.
• 1+ years of experience in diesel or automotive repair (preferred).
• ASE certification (preferred).
• Strong diagnostic skills for mechanical and electrical issues.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• A positive attitude and a commitment to excellent customer service.
• A focus on safety and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and other issues in semi-tractors and trailers.
• Replace and balance tires according to established procedures.
• Conduct repairs or replacements for starters, generators, brakes, and universal joints.
• Complete work orders and communicate service needs effectively with customers.
• Perform emergency roadside repairs, including tire service.
• Mentor and train team members to enhance the workforce.
• Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized workspace.
