Job summary

Allegiance Trucks is seeking a Diesel Technician to provide technical service with troubleshooting, electrical and diagnostic work on trucks and equipment. You will diagnose, repair, and install components, read repair orders, and ensure repairs meet specifications.

Responsibilities include installing engine parts, inspecting safety devices, advising on additional repairs, and maintaining a safe, clean work environment. A valid license and tools are required; apprenticeship or certs are helpful.

Qualifications

  • Positive attitude and mechanical aptitude
  • Brand experience with major truck makes (Isuzu, Cummins, Detroit Diesel, CAT, etc.)
  • 1–2 years minimum experience as a Medium/Heavy Diesel Technician
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Full set of personal hand tools
  • High School Diploma or GED; vocational/technical certification preferred
  • Ability to use a computer and basic applications
  • Completed diesel/automotive certificate programs or equivalent hands-on experience

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical service on vehicles and equipment including troubleshooting, electrical and diagnostic services
  • Read repair orders and perform general and detailed repair of trucks, engines and components
  • Install major components and parts such as injectors, pistons, liners, cam shafts, bearings, and transmissions
  • Inspect guards and safety devices and adjust as needed
  • Lubricate moving parts and verify repairs on road-tested vehicles
  • Advise service staff if additional repair work is necessary
  • Tag all return warranty parts
  • Maintain a neat, safe work environment and follow safety procedures
