Job summary

Powerhouse Recycling is seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our maintenance team in Salisbury, NC. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel trucks and heavy equipment, with emphasis on safety and quality workmanship across daily operations.

Requirements include 2+ years of diesel experience and Cummins/Freightliner exposure. We offer competitive pay and a stable full‑time schedule with evenings and weekends off.

Qualifications

• 2+ years diesel mechanic experience or equivalent training.
• Experience with diesel engine diagnostics and repair.
• Cummins and Freightliner experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on diesel trucks, trailers, and heavy equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and air brake issues.
• Repair or replace engines, transmissions, suspensions and steering components.
• Complete inspections to ensure DOT safety standards.
• Document repairs and maintenance performed.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area.
• Respond to emergency repairs when needed.
