Job summary

Edwards Moving & Rigging is seeking an experienced Diesel Technician / Mechanic to maintain and repair fleet vehicles, trailers, and heavy equipment. On-site position in Shelbyville, KY with a pay range of $25.00 to $32.00 per hour based on experience. The role includes flexible hours, guaranteed overtime, and a tool allowance.

Uniforms are provided and DOT compliance is required. Responsibilities include diagnostics, preventive maintenance, and record-keeping, with occasional travel up to 5%.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required.
Experience with diesel or heavy equipment repair.
DOT inspection training.
Valid driver’s license and basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

Perform tune-ups and preventive maintenance on fleet equipment.
Diagnose failures and perform necessary repairs.
Use diagnostics software to troubleshoot trucks and equipment.
Dismantle and remove parts using hand tools and assist with cranes/hoists.
Adhere to DOT inspections and keep accurate records.
Maintain safe operating conditions and ensure tools are in good condition.
Travel up to 5% of the time.
