Job summary

Dollar General Fleet is seeking Diesel Technicians in Zanesville, OH to ensure trucks, trailers, and yard tractors are in safe, compliant condition. The role offers hourly pay between $22 and $33, with a comprehensive benefits package and company-provided tools.

Applicants should have at least 1 year of experience on Class A trucks, with knowledge of air brakes, hydraulics, electrical systems, and welding. DOT inspections and regular maintenance are part of the duties.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience working on Class A trucks.
• Experience with air brakes, hydraulic and electrical systems.
• Prior welding and fabrication experience required.
• Tire repair experience preferred.
• Perform DOT inspections and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair truck and trailer components including doors and electrical and air brake systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance on tractors and trailers.
• Maintain fleet safety and reliability of all fleet vehicles.
• Abide by all company policies and safety rules and assist in maintaining a clean, safe work environment.
• Assist drivers with addressing outstanding vehicle issues.
• Maintain repairs for Class 8 trucks, trailers and yard tractors.
