Job summary

Ballard Truck Centers in West Springfield, MA, is seeking a Diesel Technician to perform tractor and trailer repairs, diagnostics, rebuilds, and replacements in accordance with SOPs. You will evaluate safety decisions, complete repairs, and ensure road readiness with proper documentation.

Requirements include 5+ years of diesel experience (Mack/Volvo a plus), strong communication, teamwork, and the ability to lift 50 lbs. Benefits are provided and ongoing franchise training may require travel.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of diesel technician experience; Mack and Volvo experience preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Able to pass a background check and drug test.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs or more.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety procedures and MSDS guidelines.
• Perform preventive maintenance and component replacements.
• Diagnose engines, brakes, electrical systems; perform repairs.
• Communicate status with drivers and internal teams.
• Complete franchise training; travel may be required.
