A leading commercial truck dealership in Sacramento is seeking an Apprentice Service Technician. This entry-level role involves learning to diagnose and repair vehicles while gaining experience in a variety of tasks including lubrication systems and safety inspections. Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Learn to diagnose and repair all vehicles and equipment serviced by the Company.
  • Perform tasks as outlined for Level One responsibilities.

I. General Job Description

This position is responsible for learning the diagnosis and repair of all vehicles and equipment serviced by the Company’s facilities. Apprentice Service Technicians are expected to learn how to perform with professional competence as it relates to quality of work, product knowledge, and customer service.

This position is an entry‑level position, intended to introduce employees to the demands and responsibilities of a Service Technician 1. This position will be evaluated on the ability to quickly learn and master the duties and responsibilities of a Service Technician within 1-2 years.

The employee is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and outside weather conditions. The noise level is normally loud.

  • Minimum of 0-2 years of direct mechanic experience on heavy trucks or equipment – or a combination of experience PLUS vocational training, trade or technical school degree/certification of completion.
