Job summary

JoB Training & Coaching is seeking an experienced Diesel Technician in Sheboygan, WI, to join a growing service team working on heavy-duty trucks and commercial vehicles. This full-time, first-shift role offers training, career growth, and a stable Monday–Friday schedule with no nights or weekends.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years’ diesel experience, strong diagnostics skills, and the ability to operate computerized diagnostic equipment. A CDL is preferred or obtainable.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of diesel technician experience.
• Experience on heavy-duty trucks and commercial vehicles.
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities.
• Ability to operate computerized diagnostic equipment.
• Valid driver's license; CDL required or able to obtain CDL.
• ASE/EPA certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on diesel engines and heavy-duty trucks.
• Diagnose vehicle issues based on customer concerns and inspection findings.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical, suspension, steering, driveline, transmission, and brake systems.
• Perform engine repairs and component replacements.
• Repair and replace major components including injectors, pistons, liners, camshafts, cylinder heads, bearings, clutches, transmissions, differentials, and related systems.
• Utilize computerized diagnostic equipment to identify and resolve mechanical and electrical issues.
• Complete repair orders and service documentation accurately.
• Conduct road tests as needed to verify repairs.
• Follow all workplace safety procedures and industry best practices.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Participate in ongoing technical training and professional development.
