Qualifications

• 1–3 years of diesel or automotive maintenance experience or equivalent technical school.
• Vehicle diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
• Valid driver’s license.
• CDL Class B or ability to obtain within 60 days (training provided).
• Tool set with mechanic’s tools.
• Willingness to pursue ASE certification; bonuses provided.
• DOT drug testing required; safety-sensitive position.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair school buses to ensure safety and reliability.
• Diagnose and perform maintenance including brakes, engine tune-ups, suspensions, drive trains, transmissions.
• Perform preventive maintenance and safety/annual inspections.
• Complete work orders accurately.
• Assist with mobile emergency repair services when needed.
