Buffalo Lift Trucks & Vitan Equipment is seeking an experienced Diesel Technician / Field Service Mechanic to troubleshoot and repair heavy‑duty material handling equipment at customer sites across the region. You’ll diagnose complex mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems and perform preventive maintenance to keep operations running smoothly.

This field-based role offers a competitive hourly rate ($23–$38) with a sign‑on bonus, company vehicle, and benefits.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of hands-on experience repairing forklifts, heavy equipment, diesel trucks, or auto mechanics looking to transition to heavy equipment.
• Strong diagnostic instincts and a safety-first mindset on the job.
• Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record to operate the company service truck.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair complex mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems at customer locations.
• Perform preventative maintenance and emergency repairs for local businesses.
• Drive across your assigned territory to service clients.
• Ensure equipment is safe, compliant, and operating to standards.
• Log service work via mobile dispatch and communicate updates.
