Job summary

Dollar General Fleet is hiring Diesel Technicians in Zanesville, OH to keep trucks, trailers and yard tractors in top working order and compliant with federal standards. Candidates must have at least 1 year of Class A truck experience, with air brakes, hydraulics and electrical systems; welding and fabrication experience is required; tire repair is preferred.

DOT inspections and compliance are part of the role.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience working on Class A trucks.
• Experience with air brakes, hydraulic & electrical systems.
• Welding and fabrication experience required.
• Tire repair experience preferred.
• Perform DOT inspections and ensure compliance.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair truck and trailer components such as doors, floors, side panels, electrical and air brake systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance on tractor and trailer equipment and complete repair orders.
• Maintain repairs for Class 8 trucks, trailers and yard tractors.
• Ensure safety and cleanliness of the work environment and assist drivers with vehicle issues.
