Job summary

Geis Dealer Group's Geis Peterbilt division in Topeka, KS is seeking experienced Class 8 and Medium Duty truck technicians/diesel mechanics. You will diagnose electronic engines (MX, Cummins, CAT), perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and a wide range of repairs to trucks and trailers, with attention to safety and quality.

The role requires strong communication, teamwork, and computer skills. Factory training is available, and a comprehensive benefits package is offered, including

Qualifications

• Experience as a technician in Class 8 or medium-duty trucks.
• Ability to perform DOT annual inspections.
• Willingness to work overtime.

Responsibilities

• Perform electronic engine diagnostics and repairs (MX, Cummins, CAT)
• Perform accurate and complete vehicle inspections (DOT, PM)
• Perform ABS diagnostics and repairs
• Perform HVAC diagnostics and repairs
• Perform electrical systems diagnostics and repairs
• Perform air brake diagnostics and repairs
• Perform wheel end repairs and adjustments
• Perform suspension and steering diagnostics and repairs
• Perform PM maintenance accurately and efficiently
• Responsible to adhere to all warranty policies and procedures
• Ability to use electronic technical manuals and resources for diag and repair
• Provide accurate documentation on repair orders
