Job summary

Coastal Waste & Recycling Inc. is seeking an experienced Diesel Technician B (Advanced Technician) to inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain heavy-duty trucks, refuse vehicles, trailers, and equipment. You’ll work with Master Technicians to expand your technical expertise and improve uptime across a diverse fleet. A strong safety focus and commitment to learning are essential.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience maintaining or repairing diesel trucks and heavy equipment.
• Knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, brakes, and preventive maintenance.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
• ASE/Brake certifications and CDL are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair diesel engines, hydraulic and electrical systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance and inspections.
• Repair refuse trucks and heavy equipment.
• Use diagnostic software and testing equipment.
• Complete repair orders accurately and promptly.
• Support Master Technicians and safety protocols.

You'll perform preventive maintenance, complete intermediate and advanced repairs, work alongside experienced Master Technicians, and help maximize equipment reliability and operational uptime.What You'll DoDiagnose and repair diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, steering, suspension, transmissions, and air brake systems.Perform preventive maintenance inspections to maximize the reliability of our trucks and equipment.Repair and maintain refuse trucks, vocational vehicles, trailers, and heavy equipment.Utilize diagnostic software and electronic testing equipment to identify equipment failures.Perform welding, fabrication, and component repairs when qualified.Accurately complete repair orders, inspections, maintenance documentation, and parts records.Work alongside Diesel Technician A (Master Technician)s while continuing to build your technical knowledge and skills.Respond to emergency repairs and operational needs as assigned.Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while following OSHA regulations and company safety standards.Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) and promote a strong safety culture.At Coastal, we win as a team.
