Job summary

Coastal Waste & Recycling is seeking a Diesel Technician B (Advanced Technician) in Pompano Beach, FL. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain heavy‑duty trucks, refuse vehicles, trailers, and related equipment, while expanding your technical expertise and advancing toward Master Technician.

You’ll work with experienced teams to maximize uptime, follow OSHA safety standards, and contribute to a culture of craftsmanship and teamwork.

Qualifications

• One or more years of experience maintaining or repairing diesel trucks and heavy equipment.
• Basic knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, brakes, and preventive maintenance.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• Must provide and maintain a basic set of professional tools.
• ASE certifications, Brake Certification, Class A CDL, and bilingual ability are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, brakes, suspension, transmissions, and air brake systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance inspections to maximize the reliability of our trucks and equipment.
• Repair and maintain refuse trucks, vocational vehicles, trailers, and heavy equipment.
• Utilize diagnostic software and electronic testing equipment to identify equipment failures.
• Perform welding, fabrication, and component repairs when qualified.
• Accurately complete repair orders, inspections, maintenance documentation, and parts records.
• Respond to emergency repairs and operational needs as assigned.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while following OSHA regulations and company safety standards.
