Experienced Certified Diesel Technician

RESPONSIBILITIES:
The following responsibilities are to be done along side your mentor, learning all the skills of a Diesel Technician:
Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership
Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment
Diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers can be informed if any additional service is needed. Providing an estimate of time needed for additional repairs
Executing repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications
QUALIFICATIONS:
Will work towards ASE certifications
Ford Training and Certifications will be obtained as you go
Thorough knowledge of late model gas and diesel engines is helpful but not required
Computer skills including email, maintenance programs and diagnostic systems, etc.
Experience using lifting devices (floor, wheel or transmission jacks, floor cranes, etc.) is preferred
Ability to work both independently and as a team member
Good written and verbal communication skills
Must have clean & valid driver's license
