Job summary

Transwest in Superior, WI is seeking a Diesel Technician Apprentice to join our service team. You will perform repairs, diagnose issues, and collaborate with the parts department following OEM standards.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, and an interest in diesel truck maintenance. Excellent communication, multitasking, and a safety-focused mindset are essential. Shift flexibility and a strong work ethic are valued here.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver's license and MVR in good standing.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must possess a complete set of hand tools.
  • Experience diagnosing and repairing passenger automobiles, including diesel trucks.
  • Ability to pass background check, physical and drug screen.
  • Willing to work any shift.
  • Knowledge of gas and diesel truck repair and maintenance.

Responsibilities

  • Perform repairs following OEM standards.
  • Diagnose and repair vehicle malfunctions.
  • Cross collaborate with the parts department to obtain parts.
  • Verify the warranty on repair orders.
  • Document repairs and time punches.
  • Road test vehicles for quality assessment.
  • Maintain tools and shop area.
  • Follow safety guidelines and dispose of hazardous waste.
