Love's Travel Stops invites applications for a Diesel Apprentices role in Ohio. Start with a hands-on program designed to teach electrical and mechanical diagnostics, air systems, wheel ends, and more while you interact with customers and drivers nationwide.

No professional experience needed—we train you. You will learn diagnostics, basic computer troubleshooting, and parts lookup, while gaining guidance from a supportive team.

Qualifications

• No professional experience required; training provided.
• Must be able to lift 75+ pounds and work in varying temperatures.
• Willingness to rotate between day and night shifts.

Responsibilities

• Earn $17.50–$25.00 per hour.
• Assist customers with roadside services.
• Learn preventative maintenance services.
• Move and lift heavy items as needed; work in close quarters.
• Prioritize safety and customer satisfaction per company policies.
• Potential to obtain a medical card through DOT (paid by Love’s).
• Operate on a rotating day/night schedule.

Diesel Apprentices work in a fast-paced environment and maintain clean places with friendly faces. You will interact with customers & drivers from all over, making their travels and their day better. Are you mechanically inclined with no professional experience? No problem!We will teach you!

In the apprentice program, you can expect to learn:

• Electrical diagnostics and repairs
• Air conditioning & heating diagnostics and repairs
• Wheel end assembly diagnostics and repairs
• Air system diagnostics and repairs
• Air brakes diagnostics and repairs
• Charging system diagnostics and repairs
• Basic computer diagnostics and auxiliary component replacement
• Parts lookup and acquisition

Job Functions:

• Earn $17.50 - $25.00 p/hr
• Assist customers with roadside services

• Learn preventative maintenance services
• Ability to move, lift 75+ pounds working in close quarters. Ability to work in various temperatures.
• Always put the safety and satisfaction of your customers first, complying with company safety policies & procedures.
• Work a rotating schedule that alternates between day and night as needed.
• Ability to obtain a medical card through the Department of Transportation. (paid by Love’s)
