Job summary

Love’s Travel Stops in Corning, CA is hiring Diesel Apprentices to join a fast-paced team. You’ll interact with customers and drivers from across the country, making their travels safer and their day better. No professional experience?

No problem — we will teach you! In the apprentice program you’ll learn electrical and diagnostics, air conditioning and heating, wheel end assemblies, air and braking systems, charging, and basic computer diagnostics.

Qualifications

• No professional experience required; we will teach you.
• Mechanically inclined candidates preferred.
• Able to move/lift 75+ pounds and work in varied temperatures.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with roadside services.
• Learn preventative maintenance services.
• Ability to move, lift 75+ pounds in close quarters.
• Work a rotating schedule that includes day and night shifts.
• Ability to obtain a medical card through the Department of Transportation (paid by Love’s).

Diesel Apprentices work in a fast-paced environment and maintain clean places with friendly faces. You will interact with customers & drivers from all over, making their travels and their day better. Are you mechanically inclined with no professional experience? No problem!We will teach you!

In the apprentice program, you can expect to learn:

• Electrical diagnostics and repairs
• Air conditioning & heating diagnostics and repairs
• Wheel end assembly diagnostics and repairs
• Air system diagnostics and repairs
• Air brakes diagnostics and repairs
• Charging system diagnostics and repairs
• Basic computer diagnostics and auxiliary component replacement
• Parts lookup and acquisition

Job Functions:

• Assist customers with roadside services

• Learn preventative maintenance services
• Ability to move, lift 75+ pounds working in close quarters. Ability to work in various temperatures.
• Always put the safety and satisfaction of your customers first, complying with company safety policies & procedures.
• Work a rotating schedule that alternates between day and night as needed.
• Ability to obtain a medical card through the Department of Transportation. (paid by Love’s)
