Job summary

Love’s Travel Stops is seeking Diesel Apprentices in California to begin a hands-on training pathway. You will work with customers and drivers, learning electrical, diagnostics, and preventative maintenance tasks under supervision.

No professional experience is required; we teach you. You’ll train on electrical, A/C, wheel end systems, air systems, brakes, charging, and more while advancing toward certified skills.

Qualifications

• No professional experience required; on-the-job training provided.
• Able to move, lift 75+ pounds and work in close quarters.
• Comfort working in various temperatures and environments.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with roadside services
• Learn preventative maintenance services
• Ability to move, lift 75+ pounds working in close quarters

• Follow safety policies and procedures
• Work a rotating schedule that alternates between day and night as needed
• Obtain a medical card through the Department of Transportation (paid by Love’s)

You will interact with customers & drivers from all over, making their travels and their day better. Are you mechanically inclined with no professional experience? No problem! We will teach you!

Program Learning

• Electrical diagnostics and repairs
• Air conditioning & heating diagnostics and repairs
• Wheel end assembly diagnostics and repairs
• Air system diagnostics and repairs
• Air brakes diagnostics and repairs
• Charging system diagnostics and repairs
• Basic computer diagnostics and auxiliary component replacement
• Parts lookup and acquisition

Job Functions

• Assist customers with roadside services
• Learn preventative maintenance services
• Ability to move, lift 75+ pounds working in close quarters
• Ability to work in various temperatures
• Always put the safety and satisfaction of your customers first, complying with company safety policies & procedures
• Work a rotating schedule that alternates between day and night as needed
